Domicile Administration

 

Active Duty Military and Military Dependents

In accordance with Virginia state law effective July 1, 2007, it is permissie for qualifying military personnel and/or dependents to receive in-state benefits for tuition purposes.  For more specific information, please reference the following sections of the Code of Virginia to determine compliance with the qualifying criteria:

  • Dependents of Active Duty Military – Code of Virginia  (23-7.4:E)
    Note: Dependent students must be degree seeking.
  • Active Duty Military Member - Code of Virginia  (23-7.4:2)

If you are a current student or newly admitted student and have determined that you may be eligible under the Code of Virginia, please fill out the Military and Military Dependent’s In-State Tuition Form and provide the supporting documents listed on that form.  All materials should be sent to the Registrar’s Office by one of the following methods:

Please note the deadline for the Active Duty Member is the first day of classes.  The deadline for Dependent students is the last day of the Add Period for the semester.
