Welcome to Domicile Administration in the Office
of the Registrar. We have designed this web site to help students
understand the process for filing an appeal for in-state tuition
status. Please contact us if additional assistance is needed.
In addition, please be aware that students must
file an appeal form for a decision to be issued. University employees,
including those in the Office the the Registrar and Domicile Administration,
cannot advise students about their chances of being classified as
in-state or serve as their advocate. Information about Virginia's
requirements for domicile is available in the Code of Virginia and
in the Domicile Guidelines. We closely follow applicable state law
in reviewing all appeals.
Remember:
Domicile Admininstration will only issue decisions after a review
of a completed appeal form.
We will review information
provided in the appeal form and issue a decision after a careful
review of all relevant information.
We will not speculate about a student's eligibilty for in-state
tuition rates.
We will not offer advice or answer factual questions specific
to a student's situation.
All students are encouraged to read the Virginia Domicile Guidelines
and our FAQ page for more information. |
