Enrollment and Degree Verification

Verifications are available on the web 24 hours a day from the National Student Clearinghouse at nominal cost. The National Student Clearinghouse is the Authorized Certifying Agent for George Mason University enrollment and degree verifications. Verifications can be used for insurance companies, scholarships, military identification cards, prospective employment, and all other services that require proof of being enrolled at Mason or having received a degree.

Current students may obtain enrollment verifications at no cost on Patriot Web or by submitting a Verification Request Form in person, by mail or fax with valid Mason or government issued identification to the Office of the Registrar. Requests made in these methods normally take up to five business days to process.

Students enrolled at least half time should submit forms for loan deferments to this office. We will then forward the forms to the National Student Clearinghouse for processing. Students should make sure their address and expected term of graduation are correct on Patriot Web before submitting any loan deferment or verification request.
