Spring 2018 Cancellations

Thursday March 22

For classes cancelled on Thursday, March 22 before 10am, instructors are asked to arrange make-ups on an ad-hoc basis. Requests for make-up classrooms should be made to your department’s Scheduling Coordinator, who will work with the Office of the University Registrar to secure an appropriate classroom.

Students should be contacted, directly or via Blackboard, on adjustments in patterns of assignments in the courses for which they are responsible.

Wednesday March 21

On Wednesday, March 21, classes were cancelled and administrative offices were closed across all campuses of George Mason University due to severe weather.

For classes canceled on Wednesday, March 21, the makeup day is Tuesday, May 8 (no longer a Reading Day). Instructors should contact students directly via Mason email or Blackboard regarding any assignment adjustments for the course.

Tuesday March 20

For classes cancelled on Tuesday, March 20 after 4:15pm, instructors are asked to arrange make-ups on an ad-hoc basis. Requests for make-up classrooms should be made to your department’s Scheduling Coordinator, who will work with the Office of the University Registrar to secure an appropriate classroom.

Students should be contacted, directly or via Blackboard, on adjustments in patterns of assignments in the courses for which they are responsible.

Friday March 2

On Friday, March 2nd, classes were cancelled and administrative offices are closed across all campuses of George Mason University due to severe weather.

For classes canceled on Friday, March 2, the makeup day is Monday, May 7 (no longer a Reading Day). If the class meets only during the first half of the semester, professors are asked to arrange make-ups on an ad hoc basis. Instructors should contact students directly via Mason email or Blackboard regarding any assignment adjustments for the course.

Wednesday February 7

For classes cancelled on Wednesday, February 7th before 10am, instructors are asked to arrange make-ups on an ad-hoc basis. Requests for make-up classrooms should be made to your department’s Scheduling Coordinator, who will work with the Office of the University Registrar to secure an appropriate classroom.
