Change of Major FAQ’s

What is the new change of major procedure?

If the form is approved after the last day to add for that semester, the request will be processed for the following term. For example: If we receive the form in November, we will create a spring record and update the major. This will ensure no registration issues. This does not apply to concentration and minor changes, which can be applied in the same term they are received.

Will this impact registration?

No. We have tested the new procedure and with us creating the future term, registration will not have any impact and will recognize the new major for that term.

What about students that are graduating?

The request will be processed for the current term if the student has applied to graduate or if the Advisor indicates the student intends to apply to graduate.
