Independent Study

Registration for individualized study sections requires approval by the Department Chair/Director.  Please reach out to the course-offering department to initiate that process as the process is administrative and online (in CLSS), no longer paper form-based. The Individualized Section request must be submitted to the Office of the University Registrar by the last day to add.

What are acceptable methods for returning papers or exams?

While you may return papers and/or examinations by mail, the safest practice is to return papers personally to the student. Never ask students to pass out graded work. Do not post student grades on a wall or leave graded assignments in a box outside an office
