Pathways (Registration)

What is a Pathway?

A Pathway is a recommended sequence of courses for an individual program or major. Pathways can also include guidance for extra-curricular activities, such as internships, clubs, or volunteer opportunities.

Why are courses already planned for me in the degree planner?

In the new degree audit, templates contain the suggested sequence of courses for each degree program. When a template is applied to a student, the suggested sequence of courses are then applied to the student’s degree plan. The student is able to add or remove courses within the degree planner at any time.

Adding courses to your plan

In the “Plan your Path” section, linked from the landing page or from the left-hand navigation pane, you’ll be able to see which requirements are remaining in your degree or program, and drag them onto terms in the plan. We’ll warn you of missing pre-requisites and suggest classes based on your interests. You can scroll to the bottom of this view to see any transfer courses.

Pathways show the recommended (or depending on your program, required) sequence to complete courses for your degree plan. You may have a Pathway applied to your plan automatically. If that’s the case, you’ll see courses added to your future plan, with a yellow ‘recommended’ tag to note they were added via a Pathway.
