Degree Audit
A degree audit combines degree requirements from the Catalog with the student’s own academic history, providing a simple, straight-forward method for students, advisors, and administrators to confirm that the student is on track to complete his or her degree–and to guide the student along the way by providing information about how to meet the program requirements.
Mason is implementing a new degree audit system for the university. The new degree audit, which will be rolled out to all students throughout 2024, will replace Degree Works to assist you with tracking progress toward your Mason degree. The new degree audit has a modern look and feel along with expanded and enhanced functionality across the platform to help navigate your academic journey.

Next Steps
· A new link in Patriot Web will be displayed for all students starting this semester, but only individuals in those programs that have been authorized will have access to click through to the tool.
· Access to the tool will be granted by level and school/college beginning with graduate students in spring 2024.
· A notification will be sent to your Mason email once you have been granted access.
· You should continue to reference the University Catalog regarding your degree requirements and Degree Works to track your degree progress until the new tool is made available to you.
